I invite you to join me for a joyful weekend retreat in Bisbee, Arizona for a blend of yoga, meditation, fun, relaxation and more. I am a yoga teacher, retreat leader and marma energy practitioner. I have been teaching yoga since 2002 and leading retreats since 2012. This weekend getaway will be a treat for your physical and mental well-being. It’s time to get away from the routine and enjoy a weekend to breathe, stretch and adventure!
We will enjoy morning meditation, daily yoga, home cooked meals (lunch on your own on Saturday) and a day trip to Old Bisbee. Saturday afternoon gives us time as a group to take in the Copper Queen Mine Tour as an optional add-on adventure.
Bisbee was founded as a copper, gold and silver mining town in 1880, and named after Judge DeWitt Bisbee, one of the financial backers of the Copper Queen Mine. A high quality turquoise promoted as “Bisbee Blue” was a by-product of the copper mining.
Today, the historic part of Bisbee is known as “Old Bisbee” and is home to a cool, casual and funky downtown scene. This area is noted for its architecture, including Victorian-style houses and an elegant Art Deco courthouse. Because its street plan was laid out to a pedestrian scale before the automobile, Old Bisbee is compact and walkable. The town’s hilly terrain is exemplified by the old four-story high school; each floor has a ground-level entrance.
Bisbee is one of my favorite towns! I hope you will join me!
Mile High Ranch
Where we’ll stay:
Nestled among the pines and cottonwoods in the historic mining town of Bisbee Arizona, Mile High Ranch welcomes you to delight in cool mountain air, scenic views, and relaxing activities. Updated guest rooms, originally built as housing for the miners in the 1920’s, are more like apartments than traditional hotel rooms, which makes your stay very comfortable! Each unit is named after a historic mine in the Bisbee area.
Amenities: Full or partial kitchen with dishes/cookware, coffee machine and coffee pods, refrigerator, (stove), microwave, streaming TV, complimentary high speed WiFi, bath products, hairdryer, modern mini-split heating and AC, reserved parking, and free electric car charging.
We will practice yoga outdoors on the lawn, with the option of moving to a covered patio if there is inclement weather. The property has a large front lawn with a swing, hammock and games, a private area behind the units with a fish pond and fountain, seating spots and a conversation area with fire tables and also a short trail up to the bluff with a scenic overlook. Massages may be available from local massage therapists that will come directly to the property.
Bisbee, AZ is less than a 2 hour drive from Tucson, AZ.
